Biography

Rebecca is a research associate in the Socio-Economic Marine Research Unit (SEMRU), which she joined in 2010. She holds a B.Comm, a M. Econ. Sc. in Environmental Economics and a Dip. in Community Development Practice, all from NUI Galway. Rebecca currently is funded by the Marine Institute award, looking at the value of Ireland's Ocean Economy.

Prior to joining SEMRU, she completed a graduate programme with the Marine Institute where she worked in the Strategic Planning and Development Services. She also completed an internship with Teagasc during her dissertation for the masters programme.
