Biography

Michael Mc Gettrick holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics (String Theory) from the University of Notre Dame (Indiana), and a Bachelors Degree in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin. He has carried out research at

Originally working as a string theorist, he has since carried out research in (the mathematics of) discrete event dynamical systems, computer algebra (symbolic computation) and quantum information (quantum computation).

Research Interests

Quantum Computing, Computational Mathematics, Grobner Bases, Computer Algebra, Discrete Event Dynamical Systems.
