Day 1: Thursday, 9.30am, 9 January 2014

  • Banking

  • GNIB Registration (Non-EU/EEA students)

Day 2: Friday, 9.30am 10 January 2014 

  • Academic advisory sessions

Note: Visiting US students must attend at 9.00am on the Friday morning to collect their student ID.

Students will receive hard copies of these documents at orientation.

Other Activities

In addition to the main Orientation Programme, the University arranges other activities to help welcome you to the University and help you settle in to student life in Galway

Fáilte (Welcome!) Mornings

Each day for the first week of term all newly arrived students are invited to attend an informal gathering where they can meet with staff of the International Affairs Office, ask questions and get to know each other.

Walking tour of Galway

The International Affairs Office arranges walking tours of Galway on the weekend after orientation. Sign up and get more details on our Facebook page -  NUI, Galway International.

Library training and tour

Students can book a place on a tour of the James Hardiman Library by registering at http://jhl.eventbrite.com/
