Remembering Robert Gregory

You are invited to attend a special concert entitled ‘Remembering Robert Gregory’ in NUI Galway on Saturday, 17 February at 8pm.


The event will mark the 100th anniversary of Gregory’s death, and will recall his life through song, music, art and poetry.


 Robert Gregory was a celebrated artist and apilot in the Royal Flying Corps. The son of Lady Augusta Gregory, he was the inspiration for a number of WB Yeats’ poems, including ‘An Irish Airman Foresees his Death’.


Performers on the night include Cois Cladaigh, the NUI Galway Alumni Choir and ConTempo Quartet, Galway’s Ensemble in Residence.


Entry is free and no booking is required.


The concert will take place in the Emily Anderson Concert Hall, in the Quadrangle, NUI Galway.
