Dr. Sarah Knight
Sarah Knight completed a PhD in Marine Chemistry with the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences at NUI Galway in 2007. During her PhD she began working in the field of science outreach as an education guide at the non-profit environmental education space, Brigit's Garden, and on a part-time basis for the Ryan Institute (ECI). Since 2007, she has been employed as the full time Outreach Officer for the Institute, and as such is responsible for much of the communication and outreach activities of the institute and its various projects and centres. |

Veronica McCauley, PhD is a lecturer in science education at NUI Galway. Her primary degree is in science education, which instigated doctoral research in the areas of Self-Directed and Computer-Based Learning. Within the sphere of science education, she has carried out postdoctoral research in initial teacher education, interactive learning environments, mentoring, outreach activities and computer-based learning at the University of Limerick, Harvard University, and NUI Galway. She is a member of the ERC's Outreach Committee. |

Dr. Davison is a Lecturer with the School of Education, at NUI, Galway. He teaches sociology of education, gender and education, and qualitative research methodologies at the postgraduate level. He researches and publishes in the area of masculinities and schooling, research methodologies, and science outreach strategies. He is co author of a recent report entitled: A Review of Science Outreach Strategies North and South: With Some Recommendations for Improvement (Armagh: 2008), and is a member of the ERC's Outreach Committee. |
