A lecturer in accountancy and finance at the J. E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG), Frank, is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. After fifteen years in professional practice, latterly as a partner in the international accountancy firm, KPMG, he held a number of senior positions in industry and finance before moving into academia. Frank has significant ongoing involvement with community and non-profit organisations including six years to 2012 on the board and as chairman of the National Parents & Siblings Alliance, a national disability rights and advocacy organisation
Research InterestsFrank is currently engaged in PhD research on performance management in the provision of public services through non-profit organisations. The research locus is the intellectual disability service sector in Ireland. Frank is an affiliate at the Centre for Disability Law and Policy at NUIG and a member of the performance management research cluster at the Whitaker Institute.
Riad Cheikh El Ghanama

I am Riad Cheikh El Ghanama currently in my 2nd year as a PhD student in taxation here at NUI, Galway, Ireland. I was awarded a Bachelor in Management from HEC, Algeria in 2008 and I was also awarded a Master in Finance from University of Dundee, Scotland.
Research InterestsMy area of interest is tax compliance; and more specifically I am investigating the role of tax morale in enhancing tax compliance behaviour of taxpayers.

Research InterestsI am currently undertaking a PhD in NUI Galway under the supervision of Dr Emer Curtis. The focus of my research is in audit with a particular focus on the changing institutional arrangements within professional firms.

I am currently the International Operations Director at Aspect Software, based full-time in Claregalway. Originally from Ireland, I was seconded back to Ireland from the UK three years ago to set up Aspect Software’s new Irish manufacturing operation.
The resulting exposure to corporate strategy, legal structures and taxation sparked the curiosity that lead to taking up part-time research into how corporate strategy and organizational structures are impacted by multinational corporation tax.

I am a Full time Phd Candidate at NUI Galway.
