    Biography:

    Paddy Gillespie joined the School of Business & Economics as a Lecturer in Economics in 2012. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher with the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology and the School of Medicine at NUI Galway, having completed his doctoral studies in 2009. His research interests are focused in the area of Health Economics and in particular the techniques of health technology assessment and applied econometrics. His research to date has explored a variety of questions in relation to heart disease, diabetes, dementia, multimorbidity, and infectious disease. The output from this work, which by its nature involved collaboration across multiple disciplines, has been published in a variety of leading national and international journals.
