Orientation for Business School 2017-18
Business School Orientation
Undergraduate Students:Your University start date is Tuesday, 29th August 2017, which will include a series of parent/guardian and student talks, introductory lectures, laboratory registration, meetings with academic deans, class advisors and programme directors, information on university online learning and guidance on living successfully away from home. Orientation week is a critical element of starting life at university and it is compulsory that all students attend. Click here for the Orientation Schedule 2017-18.
Postgraduate Students: Content covered will include, Blackboard/Library Services/Computer Services, Accommodation, Registration, Fees, Career Development Centre, Support Services/Volunteering, Student Societies and Sports Clubs, Where to find timetables and discipline administrators and more. There are currently two Postgraduates Orientation Scheduled. You will shortly receive a communication indicating which is your allocated session;
- Friday, September 1st - 10am - 11.30am
- Wednesday, September 6th, 6pm - 7.30 pm.
Failte Fest - Welcome to NUI Galway
Discover all the fun things to do, how to get involved, and where to get support when you need it at the NUI Galway Failte Fest taking place from August 28th - September 1st.
Orientation on the support services available for all international students will be held in the Bailey Allen Hall on Thursday 31 August 2017.
There will be a session specifically aimed at international Postgraduate Taught Masters students on Thursday 31 in the Bailey Allen from 3:30 to 4:30 pm
Academic orientation for visiting students will take place on Friday 1 September 2017 in the Bailey Allen Hall starting at 8:30 am. Students receive information on exams, timetables and other important academic information at this session so attendance is mandatory.
